about us: our rehearsal venue
The Point Loma/Hervey Branch Library stands proudly on Voltaire Street. The new building, opening in 2003, has been a huge asset to the Point Loma community. A generous grant of $5 million from the Hervey Family boosted the fundraising campaign and the $11 million goal was met. This enabled the new building – five times the size of the previous one – to not only be beautifully designed and constructed, but has also in doing so created an incredible community resource for book-lovers of all ages.
The design is inspired by the city and surroundings. It follows a nautical theme.
Peninsula Singers is especially thrilled and privileged to rehearse in the library’s Community Room. We are proud to consider the Point Loma/Hervey Branch Library a partner of the chorus and are grateful for the continued support offered to us, both for the rehearsal space and financially.
